Meet The Doctors

Dr Tim Golding 

MBchB MRCGP

Dr Golding qualified from Leeds University in 1990 after which he did his GP training in Huddersfield. He joined the practice in October 1995 and became senior partner in July 2021. 

He is married to Sam (who is a Hospice Physician at Pendleside Hospice in Burnley) and they have three children two of whom have followed them into medicine and one into veterinary medicine. 

Dr Golding is the practice lead for diabetes but enjoys all the daily variety and many opportunities that working as a GP in Whalley has offered him. Outside work he loves walking with Sam (& Honey the cockapoo) in both the beautiful Ribble Valley and the Lake District.

Dr Carole Brown 

MBchB DFFP MRCGP

Dr Carole Brown qualified from Medical school in Cardiff in 1995 and spent the next four years training to be a GP in Cardiff, the Lake District and West Yorkshire.

She joined Whalley Surgery in October 2000 and enjoys the variety of General Practice. In her spare time, Dr Brown is an impressive skier, and often enjoys hitting the slopes at the local ski club with her daughters.

Dr Chris Dalton 

DMedSci BMBS DSEM PGCGPEd MRCGP MFSEM(UK)

Dr Dalton joined the Practice in 2006. His main interests are MSK and sports medicine, but he enjoys the variety of general practice. Dr Dalton became an ST3 trainer in 2008 and performs minor surgery procedures such as cyst removals and cryotherapy at the surgery.

Outside of work, Dr Dalton is a keen sportsman, and is the lead Doctor for local football team Blackburn Rovers.

Dr Arrian Green

MBChB and MRCGP

Dr Green studied medicine at the University of Manchester, before completing the final stages of his training as a Registrar at the surgery.

After joining the surgery as a salaried GP in 2016, Dr Green became a partner the following year and enjoys focusing on General Practice as a whole. Dr Green is also the lead GP for a local psychiatric service.

Dr Padma Chennubhotla

Dr Padma joined the Practice in 2018 as a Salaried GP and became a GP Partner in 2021. Dr Padma is the Practice lead for women’s health and gynaecology.

Dr Rebecca Thornber

BM BMedSci MRCGP

Dr Thornber studied at the University of Southampton, graduating in 2012. She joined our practice as a trainee in 2019, becoming a salaried GP later in 2021. Her clinical interests include women’s health and acting as a clinical supervisor for GP trainees. Dr Thornber is also the designated GP for a local care home. Outside of the surgery, Dr Thornber is an excellent seamstress, and can often be seen sporting her own handiwork at the practice. Dr Thornber became the newest Partner to the Practice in April 2023.

Dr Marjoleine Onrust (Dr Mo)

MRCGP

Dr Mo studied medicine in the Netherlands before completing her GP training in Reading. She joined the practice in Spring 2017 as a salaried GP and her main interests include General Practice and keeping a smile on everyone’s face. Outside of work, Dr Mo is a keen cyclist and spends her free time riding her bike and enjoying the natural beauty of the Ribble Valley.

Dr Jane Hindle

Dr Hindle joined the Practice in 2017 as a Salaried GP.

Dr Anna Chamberlain

Dr Chamberlain joined the Practice in 2019 as a Salaried GP.

Stella Haythornthwaite – Advanced Nurse Practitioner

As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Stella is educated in clinical practice and uses her expert clinical knowledge and skills to assess, diagnose and treat patients accordingly.

Conor Corbett – Practice Pharmacist

MPharm PG Dip. IP GPhC

Conor studied at Kings College London and University College London and has previously worked as a ward pharmacist on chemotherapy units, renal dialysis/transplant units and in cardiology and critical care.

Conor joined the surgery in November 2020 as the Practice Pharmacist. In this role, he conducts medication projects and audits and aids in the smooth running of vaccination programs. Conor also prescribes and reviews medication for patients, as well as completing new patient checks.
